Islamic Unity was founded at a pivotal time: as the Muslim community in Brisbane grew, the need for a dedicated Islamic centre and supportive community hub became clear.
Our vision is to create a space where people of all ages can worship, learn and thrive together — and where Islam can be shared positively with the wider community.

Islamic Unity began with a heartfelt vision to bring the Brisbane Muslim community together for prayer, education and support.
Over time, our masjid has grown into a thriving centre of faith and service — welcoming children, youth, families and elders alike.

Our Leadership Team
Our dedicated volunteers guide Islamic Unity with integrity and vision:
- Imam / Spiritual Leader – Provides religious guidance, leads prayers and oversees educational programmes
- Community & Youth Coordinator – Organises events, youth programmes and social initiatives
- Education Director – Manages Qur’an, Islamic Studies and children’s madrasa programmes
- Finance & Operations Lead – Ensures transparency and efficient use of community resources
